A SHORT STORY of our bishop
In time like these when God’s
                                    Children are flocking to other religions in mass through the spread of falsehood all because the world is short of proclaimers of the
true of powerful Word of God. In this generation, God has produced His own servant, the Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr., on the sand of time to make a difference in the work of the church. He is a Man of God who has dedicated his life to the service of God. Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr., was ordained to the Gospel Ministry by the St. Peter’s Evangelical Church in Slipway, Monrovia, Liberia on September 15, 1996. Bishop Tarpeh was accessed and commissioned in 2001 by the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania and South Jersey to serve as a church planter and practice Christian ministry in the United States of America.
Bishop Tarpeh is a graduate of the United Methodist Junior High School in Greenville Sinoe County and the A.M.E. Zion Academy in Monrovia, Liberia. He is a 1994 graduate of the Bible league Church Planting Institute where is receive a Certificate in Church planting and a Diploma in Christian Leadership. Following his religious quest he enrolled at the Word of Life Bible Institute in 1995 with an Advance Diploma in Biblical Studies and Church Administration. Adhering to God’s call, He received his theological training from  Jameson School of Ministry International Christian University (BTh) respectively purposely to adequately search the scriptures and to propagate it soundly. He is a Humanitarian, Social Worker, Christian Counselor, Missionary, and a powerful proclaimer of the Word of God.On May 8, 20014, Bishop Tarpeh received his Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from The Jamesson School of Theology, International Christian University in Philadelphia,USA.
Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr., served in the following positions: 1993-1996 Assistant Pastor, St. Peter’s Evangelical Church in Slipway, Monrovia, Liberia; 1996-1998 Pastor, Apostolic Community Church, Slipway, Monrovia, Liberia: From 1998-2000 Founder and First Pastor, Harvest Outreach Ministries; 2001 Co-Pastor, House of God Assembly, Buduburam Refugee Camp, Gomoa District, Accra, Ghana. Presently, Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh is the General Overseer of the Harvest Outreach Ministries in Liberia. He is married to his lifelong love and High school sweetheart Rev. Janet Campbell Tarpeh, and they are blessed with a son, Anthony and daughter, Tracie.

In May of 2010 Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr was elected by the Liberian Ministers Association of the Delaware Valley to serve as its president. A position in which he is served with dedication, commitment and passion. Until his successor was elected in 2014.  Bishop Amos suffer a stroke while he was ministering to Gods people. He is still faithful to the call of God upon his life. In his time of recovery, his heart for mission and church planting has grown larger.

Moreover, Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr; the General Overseer and Presiding Elder of the Harvest Outreach Ministries in West Africa with headquarters in Liberia and Senior Pastor of Refuge Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia. He was on the 22nd of August, 2010 designated Bishop by the Church Alive Ministries International (CAMI) with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

After hours of vetting he was accredited by the College of Bishops of CAMI thus electing him Bishop. His Grace, Bishop Elect Amos W. Tarpeh, Jr was presented to the entire Church Alive Ministries International family by the Presiding Prelate, His Grace Bishop Donald James Washington. Bishop Amos W. Tarpeh, was consecrated Bishop by CAMI on January, 22, 2011 during its Winter Board meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He serves as the Northeastern Jurisdictional Bishop of Church Alive Mi
